How do you bring an idea to life in language? How do you create fictional characters with depth, authenticity and emotional resonance? In this supportive ten-week course, we'll explore the writer's toolkit, from the first spark of an idea through to planning and developing a longer work of fiction.

Together we'll look at character, sense of place, pace, dialogue, plot and form. By the end of the course, participants will have drafted the first three chapters of a novel and created a roadmap for where their story might go next.

The course is suitable both for people new to writing fiction and for more experienced writers looking for fresh inspiration, structure and support.
